Glimpses of Hawaiian Culture, by Serge Kahili King, Ph.D., 234 pp e-book $4.99

This is a collection of thirty-two articles and sixteen legends covering a wide variety of different aspects of Hawaiian culture..

Almost all of the articles in this book first appeared in The Paradise Post, a newspaper published in Hilo, Hawaii. They contain a great many unusual and little-known facts about the islands.

The legends were presented as part of public talks given over the years. In addition to the author's unique interpretation of the legends, they include much about about old Hawaiian beliefs and practices.

Both articles and legends were drawn from multiple sources and a reference list will be provided at the end of the book. The order of the articles roughly matches the order in which they were first published. The order of the legends is random.
