In ancient Hawaii, tatoos, called kakau, were applied with plant dyes and bamboo tappers. Among their many uses were magic, healing, identification, story-telling, and pure decoration.

A Polynesian Style Temporary Tatoo will typically remain intact for three to seven days, depending on the amount of friction from clothing or touch contact that it receives. The tatoo is easily removed with baby oil, or alcohol plus a little rubbing. Instructions are included with the package.
